The Ministry of Environment of the Slovak Republic has issued the Final Statement for Jadrová energetická spoločnosť Slovenska, a. s. (JESS) for the project of the New Nuclear Power Plant (NNPP) in Jaslovské Bohunice site in which it has recommended implementation of the proposed activity in terms of its environmental impact.
In Germany, in the city of Munich, there was a cross-border public hearing and expert consultations held.
In Austria, in the city of Vienna, there was a cross-border public hearing and expert consultations held.
In Hungary, in the city of Győr, there was a cross-border public hearing and expert consultations held.
Following the publication of the Report the joint public hearing on the proposed activity has been hold on the level of concerned communities at the community centre in Veľké Kostoľany.
2015
The Ministry of Environment of the Slovak Republic has issued The Environmental Impact Assessment Report of the Proposed Activity determined in accordance with the Act No. 24/2006 Coll. on environmental impact assessment.
The Ministry of Economy of the Slovak Republic issued the Certificate for the Construction of an Energy Facility entitled “New Jaslovské Bohunice Nuclear Source with the Capacity of Up to 1,200 MWe.”
Jadrová energetická spoločnosť asked the Ministry of Economy of the Slovak Republic to issue the Certificate for the Construction of an Energy Facility.
Member of the Board of Directors, Ing. Tomáš Vavruška presented the topic of the current steps and the challenges that await the NNPP project in the near future at the meeting of the ATM Council – Association of Towns and Municipalities of the Jaslovské Bohunice nuclear power plant region, held in Piešťany.
At the meeting of The Bohunice Citizen Information Commission (CIC) in Veľké Kostoľany, Chief Executive Officer Ing. Štefan Šabík informed about the progress of the NNPP project to the next stage within the EIA process, which was the submission of Preliminary Study for the Proposed Activity to the Ministry of Environment of the SLovak Republic.
2014
The Preliminary Study for the Proposed Activity was transmitted to the Ministry of Environment of the Slovak Republic.
At the tenth International SES (Secure Energy Supply) Conference, designated for experts from the nuclear and energy industries, the CEO spoke about the initiation of the NNPP project’s environmental impact assessment process.
The most important project milestone in 2013 was the launching of the environmental impact assessment process (EIA), the invitation to a tender for an EIA elaborator completed, and a contract with AMEC signed. The initial work related to the assessment process began that month, and it should reach completion by mid-2016.
At the 2013 ENK O conference, held in Bratislava, the CEO presented “A New Nuclear Power Plant – the Conclusions of the Feasibility Study and Further Project Procedure.”
2013
JESS, in the presence of other interested parties (JAVY S, ČEZ, and ČEZ Bohunice) signed a memorandum of cooperation with Rosatom, allowing a third party to obtain information about the status of the new nuclear power plant project.
At the “Current Projects at the Jaslovské Bohunice Nuclear Energy Site” workshop held in Veľké Kostoľany, the general director of JESS presented current activities and the outlook for a new nuclear plant to be developed. The seminar was organised by OIK Bohunice in cooperation with the Jaslovské Bohunice Regional Association of Municipalities.
At a meeting of OIK Bohunice in Veľké Kostoľany, the general director briefed members about the main conclusions and recommendations produced from the Project NNPP Feasibility Study.
At the Secure Energy Supply (SES) international conference, JESS’s general director spoke about the main conclusions drawn from the Feasibility Study and reported on the state of preparations for constructing a New Nuclear Power Plant in Slovakia.

Feasibility Study prepared to judge key aspects of Project NNPP, forming a critical base for further consideration of the project.

Tender documentation for the preparation of the Feasibility Study were sent to ten selected applicants.Conclusion of the Contract for Work to execute the Seismicity and Geological Relation Assessment Study for the project of the New NPP in Jaslovské Bohunice site.
The final evaluation of information packages sent from six contractors of the New NPP, based on the Request for Information document, which form one of the basic data for preparation of the Feasibility Study.

The model for concluding an agreement and preparation of the Feasibility study was approved.
We received the information packages from all invited potential supplier of New NPP as a basis for preparation of the Feasibility Study.
Company’s management made a decision to prepare a part of the feasibility study by own staff – by means of reviewing and using own and public accessible information sources and information from information packages of the contractors.
All potential contractors of the main contract were addressed to which at the same time a document of questions to their project was sent. The information from the contractors is necessary to prepare a Feasibility Study and Environmental Impact Assessment process.

The government of the Slovak Republic approved the foundation of power company Jadrová energetická spoločnosť Slovenska, a. s., Jadrová energetická spoločnosť Slovenska, a. s. will be responsible for preparation, construction and operation of a new nuclear power plant in Jaslovské Bohunice.
The European Commission approved the proposed establishment of a joint venture between Jadrová energetická spoločnosť Slovenska, a. s., shareholders of which are ČEZ Bohunice a. s. and Jadrová a vyraďovacia spoločnosť, a. s.
On occasion of 4th Session of European Nuclear Forum in Prague, representatives of power companies JAVYS and ČEZ signed a Shareholding Contract which enables them to establish the joint venture for construction of new nuclear power plant in Jaslovské Bohunice in Slovakia.
